Zohar Kfir is a New York based media artist working with experimental video, interactive art and installation. She holds a Masters Degree from New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) as well as an MFA from Concordia University Studio Arts Programme in Montreal. Her artistic practice deploys non-linear narrative to cover a wide range of topics; from more meditative experimental work to documentary interventions, which combine traditional cinematic techniques with expanded interactivity. Zohar has shown her work internationally in galleries, festivals and conferences including Transmediale; NYUFF; FACT Liverpool; 56th Oberhausen Film Festival; SIGGRAPH Art Gallery; ISEA; RIDM and the Japan Media Arts Festival among others. Her work had been reviewed on the Creators Project, Kill Screen and most recently on Versions. During 2016 Zohar was a Fellow at the Made In NY Media Center By IFP, in Brooklyn, NY.
