Community Director for NYC

T.K. is a sound designer, film composer, and creative technologist currently living in NYC. He is a graduate of the USC School of Cinema & Television and NYU Tisch Interactive Telecommunication Program (ITP). After completing a year as a post-doctoral fellow and research resident at ITP he has become an adjunct professor at ITP teaching a new course titled "Immersive Listening: Designing Sound for VR". During his fellowship, T.K. worked alongside faculty and the department chair to manage the ITP Experiments in Storytelling, a research and development initiative funded by Google for exploring new narrative forms through the creation and use of emerging technologies. In his personal work T.K. works with haptic feedback as a way of experiencing the human voice as a form of extended and mindful listening.
