Community Director for Seattle

Andrea Silverman is a user experience engineer, and interactive visual designer, from Detroit, based out of Seattle. Her background in performing arts, engineering, psychology, and design, drives her explorations in interactive and immersive virtual spaces. As a designer, she seeks out exclusions in immersive narratives, and uses them as opportunities to create new ideas and inclusive experiences.

Her past clients include Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Audi, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and various start-ups in the Seattle area. Andrea is heavily involved in the virtual and augmented reality community in Seattle, LA, and Detroit, with an emphasis on outreach to communities lacking access to cutting edge technology. Current outreach projects include "Unity for Teens" workshops, VR 360 Cinematic Challenges, mentoring high school girls in tech, virtual reality art exhibits, holographic and virtual research groups, and exhibiting demos at various virtual reality conferences.
