ANDREA PATIÑO CONTRERAS
Andrea Patiño Contreras is a visual journalist from Bogotá, Colombia, who has been living in the U.S. for the past seven years. She graduated from Duke University where she majored in cultural anthropology and got a master's degree in Media and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her work deals with questions of immigration and global mobility and the reasons why people choose or are forced to leave places.
Her work has been featured in The New Yorker, Univision, NPR and Guernica Magazine. She is currently based in Miami working as video fellow for Univision.
